Arbaeen Peace March
The "Arbaeen Peace March" is the name of the annual march that was started in Denmark in 2005 by a few mourners. The intention was to walk a symbolic distance, like the million march that takes place annually in Iraq, in memory of Imam Hussein's family, who were taken hostage after the Karbala tragedy in the year 680.
This symbolic peace march covers a distance of almost 20 km and lasts 6 hours.
Therefore, participants are recommended to wear appropriate footwear and ensure they dress appropriately for the prevailing weather conditions.
To-do-list:
1- Pray the morning prayer (3:40 to 5:56).
2- Appropriate clothing for the weather conditions (expected 20 degrees with some rain and cloudy).
3- Appropriate footwear for long distances and possibly waterproof in case of rain.
4- Drinking water for the first 10 km (water and food will also be shared at Strandesplanade and along the route).
5- Possibly a shoulder bag or backpack.
